Jackie Burks, DVM
Dr. Burks is a 1982 graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is the primary vet at Pet Vet Express, our second location at Crestline Village in Mountain Brook. Dr. Burks and his wife, Libby, have been married for 39 years and have 2 children: Matt, an architect and Caroline, a teacher. He has five dogs and 1 cat. In his 38 years of practice experience, Dr. Burks has developed interests in dermatology, dentistry, and surgery.

Lindsay Floyd, DVM
Dr. Floyd is a 2007 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been with Pet Vet Animal Hospital for 4 years and she also fills in at our other hospital, Pet Vet Express at Crestline Village in Mountain Brook.

Chelsea Meyer, DVM
Dr. Meyer is originally from Tuscaloosa, AL where she began her education, she then transferred to Mississippi State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Animal and Dairy Sciences. She went on to attend MSU’s Center for Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2017. After graduation, she married her husband Josh and practiced for two years at a veterinary clinic in Georgia. She then decided to move back to Alabama to be closer to her family and has been here ever since. Dr. Meyer’s special interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, critical care, and soft tissue surgery. She and her husband have 7 rescue dogs that range in size and age. In her spare time, Dr. Meyer enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and dogs.
